The Book of Saints and Friendly Beasts is book by American author Abbie Farwell Brown, first published in 1900. Aimed at younger readers, but still of interest to older ones, this is a lovely collection of twenty Christian stories of the animal encounters of various saints. The author was inspired to write the book after visiting the carved choir stalls in Chester Cathedral that depict the life of Saint Werburgh. The saints in the stories include, Cuthbert, Bridget, Keneth, Blaise, Gerasimus, and more.
This book has 40,137 words, 80 pages in the PDF version, and was originally published in 1900.
