As he encounters different human figures, ranging from cruel to kind, he learns about loyalty, love, and trust. The novel explores themes of survival, domestication, and the bond between humans and animals, with White Fang's transformation from a wild creature to a domesticated companion serving as a central focus of the story. Upon its release, White Fang was an immediate success worldwide, and became especially popular among younger readers, and has since been adapted into numerous pictures and animated specials.
