Wired Love is a novel by American novelist Ella Cheever Thayer, first published in 1879. It is the simple story of Nathalie Rogers who receives a call from a fellow telegrapher, 'C,' who makes her laugh. This lighthearted exchange marks the start of an unconventional romance for the era, between two individuals who know nothing about each other. The author drew on her experience as a telegraph operator at the Brunswick Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts, to write the book, and upon its release, Wired Love became a bestseller, remaining popular for a decade.
